shouldnt aggro range against monster should reduce if you have xx+ higher levels than the monster? and increase if xx lower?
im 24 and in altgard the monsters still have same aggro range than when i was 18. and monsters are lvl 16.
can you check that pls?
Checked. The rule is ten levels: once you are 10 or more levels above an aggressive monster, it leaves you alone. Below that, its aggro range stays the same (the yellow circle on your minimap). That Black Claw Tower Guard is level 17, 7 levels below you, so it still attacks; the level-16 monsters stop at your level 26. As far as we could find, the official servers worked the same way, with no gradual shrinking.
can you also check how the aggro chain is working. Sometimes monster stand near each other and also are connected with their aggro range but not chain aggro. How does the system work? even if the other monster stand inside the radar it sometimes not aggroing
Fixed. How it works: every time you hit a monster (a hit, a miss or a hostile skill), each monster near it checks three things: is it of a kind that helps that monster (the game's own data decides - most camps help each other, some monsters are made to fight alone), does its aggro circle (the yellow circle on your minimap) touch the monster you hit, and can it see it. If all three are true it joins half a second later. Only monsters standing or walking around answer, not ones already fighting or walking home, and your level does not matter. The ones that join do not call more monsters themselves, but every new hit asks again, so a monster you keep hitting while it runs past its friends brings them too.
What was wrong: the distance was measured from the centre of one monster to the centre of the other, so big monsters had to stand much closer than their circles show - two Kentari needed 8 m instead of about 12 m. And guards had no "help" entry at all, so the prison guards on the Isle of Disgrace never helped each other. Both are fixed: now the circle only has to touch the other monster's body, and a guard joins when an enemy player attacks another guard or someone it protects inside its circle.
About your first screenshot: those level-28 Kentari Sentinels at the edge of the village are not the village Kentari. They are a war party fighting the Ice Claw, and the game's own data gives them no "help" relation, so they fight one at a time. The village Kentari (the level-27 sentinels and fighters) do help each other. Live after the next server update.
